OK. I gotta admit that I'm a tried and true, dyed in the wool, all American meat eater. I was born in the South where a "meat and three" is gospel. That being said, "Damn Manna Kitchen you've made be enjoy, really enjoy, vegan food.". I ordered the Panang Curry. It had huge chunks of tasty tofu and beautiful veggies. The sauce was perfection-Better actually than a few Thai places I've been to. Portion was huge and it was still very hot when I got home. Small side of brown rice was just filling enough but didn't make me feel I was having rice with panang instead of panang with rice. I also ordered a fresh made cinnamon espresso cookie. Now I near cooked at the 6.50 price of said cookie but again, "Damn, I didn't regret that one bit after trading it." I ordered to go but looked around while I waited. Place was super clean and the staff friendly. Cashier even offered recommendations as my aura obviously screamed, "Never eaten vegan before!". This place absolutely deserves its reputation as a top restaurant. Go try it.

Had a wonderful time! Our service was great and the drinks were smooth. I loved loved loved the Village Salad and the small lamb chops. Can't wait to go back.

Excellent service, delightful ambiance, and delcious authentic Greek food. The saganaki, hummus, and falafel were all amazing, and my friend enjoyed the gyro as well. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys Greek food or open to trying something new. Thank you so much, Vasili's! Keep up the great work!

I'm not sure how I found this place! I had it bookmarked and just decided to go for lunch. We dropped in about 1pm, initially the restaurant was open with tables. After we were seated it became crowded. So we ordered a NY strip, lamb chops, & a chicken kabob. We ordered drinks too. Everything came out timely. The food and drinks were very good. The service was so good!!!! I told my servserver I was coming back to see her. Lolbvs

I recently attended a concert in Naperville and decided to try Vasili's based on Yelp reviews. Since it was a Friday night and we didn't have a reservation, we walked in around 6:30 PM. We were promptly seated, but the table was right at the entrance, which wasn't ideal. I asked the hostess if we could move to one of the other open tables, but she refused rather curtly. Fortunately, our waitress overheard and kindly offered to move us to another table in her section, which was much appreciated. We ordered the dip trio and the lavraki (branzino) with sides of rice and Greek potatoes. The dip trio lacked authenticity and depth of flavor, but the lavraki, stuffed with spinach and feta, was well-seasoned and delicious. The sides were excellent, especially the Greek potatoes. Overall, our server was outstanding and deserved a 5/5. The food was good, but I'd rate it a 4/5. Would I return? Maybe, but given the price point, there are other more authentic options available.

GET HER TO THE GREEK Ladies are sure to love this trendy Mediterranean place in downtown Naperville. Vasili's serves nouveau Greek cuisine with Napervillian pricing, which is to say it's expensive but not unreasonably so. The restaurant is on the south bank of the river, next to Blue Sushi Sake Grill and across the street from Quiubo. I've been here twice now, and my wife thrice, all terrific experiences. The spread trio ($16) is a nice variety sampler, unfortunately the tzatziki was a weak effort. It's supposed to be a blend of cucumber, garlic and herbs, but all we could taste was yogurt. The taramasalata (fish roe spread) and htipiti (feta & roasted red pepper) were great, however. 4/5 They wisely opted not to tinker with the saganaki ($12) or the choice to flambé it tableside. Better still, they use kefalograviera cheese (one of the better cheeses to use, alongside kefalotyri). The spanakopita ($18) is different than what you might expect but the layered spinach & feta pie is quite tasty. 5/5 Lamb souvlaki ($31) is wonderful despite being served sans-grains. I understand that it's a shareable plate and not an entrée, but c'mon, for thirty bucks would it kill them to include a cup of orzo? I wasn't crazy about having to order a side of rice ($11), even though it was a fair portion size. 4/5 For dessert, the table was divided on the pineapple revani ($12). My dad & wife enjoyed it, but my mom and I felt there was way too much going on with a semolina cake soaked in syrup, almonds, mint, and vanilla-ginger ice cream. The loukoumades (donuts with honey & walnuts, $12) were unanimously delicious. 4.5/5 Bread = 4.5 Circuses = 5 Our server, Isaac, took good care of us. Staff were accommodating to our party of 4 adults + 2 littles, bringing us a highchair and sitting us at a corner table with a view of the river. This was the best case scenario, since we had a folded-up stroller and extra baggage for the kids. Not being trapped in the middle of a crowded dining floor put my nerves at ease. Vasili's has a nice outdoor patio with heaters, and there's a snazzy fountain within penny-tossing distance. Although street parking is available, spots are limited so you'll probably wind up parking in the free garage 1/2 block west of here. You'll definitely need a reservation--this place gets packed! * TL;DR * Whether it's a dinner date with the wife, celebrating mom's (70th!) birthday, or a ladies' night monthly meetup, Vasili's has excellent food and lively vibes for every occasion. I found it interesting that across several visits, the majority of diners have been women. Makes sense, y'all typically have good taste (I, on the other hand, am impressed with a basket of wings and cheap beer). The music is fun, a mixture of Top 40 and club hits makes me feel like I'm partying in Mykonos. The atmosphere is ideal for catching up with friends over small plates or impressing your partner with a romantic meal. I highly recommend Vasili's.

Mediterranean cuisine at its finest! We enjoyed exploring the many dishes, each bursting with bold flavors celebrating the region's culinary heritage. Every dish was presented beautifully, striking a perfect balance between a cozy, homey feel & classy. The service staff embrace the spirit of Mediterranean hospitality. The vibe comes alive when it's bustling with patrons, but I personally prefer it when it's a bit more tranquil -perfect for savoring every bite & enjoying your company! The decor adds a delightful touch with its charming details. Be sure to make a reservation as this gem can fill up quickly esp during the weekends!

Decided to visit Naperville last night and dined at Vasili's . Loved the location of the location of the restaurant on water street right in downtown Naperville. I loved they had valet parking available for $12. There is also free parking available near by. Really liked the decor and aesthetics of this place and bonus points for outdoor patio. We decided to sit outside. Our server arrived promptly and helped us decide a nice variety of dishes to try. We had the house salad, a trio of spreads, vasili's chips. We like all three of the starters and it was a great start. For the entrees we got the Penny's Pastitsio, Lavraki ( sea bass) , Flat Iron Steak , and Souvlaki ( lamb). The entrees sizes were nice , the presentation was good and the food was well prepared. I was hoping it to be more flavorful but overall it was a good experience and I would visit again.
